UX Design for Stitch & Tie
The Problem
In today's highly competitive digital landscape, our client, Stitch & Tie, faced a critical challenge. Their current online presence did not effectively convey their unique value propositions, making it difficult to stand out in the crowded online suit rental market. Additionally, their existing website lacks an intuitive user interface, hindering user engagement and conversion rates.
The Goal
To address these issues, our project's objective was to revamp their website, focusing on brand elevation, enhanced user experience, and streamlined eCommerce capabilities. Our goal was to attract new customers while retaining the loyalty of existing clientele, ultimately establishing Stitch and Tie as a distinctive and formidable competitor in the online suit rental sector.
Understanding our Users
Utilizing existing personas, we dove in and created customer journeys to better understand the needs and wants of two key target audiences previously not accounted for.
Finding the Look
Building a style board is my first step in UI design. It helps me collaborate with clients to refine the project's direction and spark creative ideas before detailed design begins.
Early Prototyping
We began prototyping early and often beginning with the header, navigation and footer. Mapping each into the three styles allowed for additional considerations before moving forward with a final design.
Client Collaboration
After receiving approval for our chosen design direction established through the style board, we proceeded with a unique approach to meet the project's tight turnaround. At the client's request, we dove right into hi-fidelity design, combining wireframes (low-fi) and design elements together. While not the ideal sequence for optimal design flow, it ensured we could iterate quickly while following the existing site structure and layout.
Visualizing the Experience
Prototyping played a pivotal role in this project, allowing us to visualize and iterate on the proposed design and functionality changes before committing to development.
Through the use of wireframes and interactive mockups, we were able to create a tangible representation of the improved UI and eCommerce features. This approach facilitated effective communication with our client, enabling them to provide valuable feedback and make informed decisions.
The Look Builder
Guided by our client's vision, I transformed a concept into a reality. The Look Builder seamlessly integrates the ability to create your desired look, whether from a Suit set or individual products, and effortlessly incorporates suggested items, all within a unified and user-friendly checkout experience.
In line with a mobile-first approach, we prioritized the design and functionality to ensure a smooth and intuitive experience for mobile users. By placing them at the forefront of our design considerations, we ensured that the Look Builder not only provides a seamless shopping experience but also performs optimally on various devices, enhancing accessibility and convenience for a broader audience.
“Online booking and overall site traffic has double since relaunch.”
